Make sure you tune into The Vault on March 1st to watch the first episode of the Women’ Hook ‘N Shoot Tournament. This fight stars Kaitlin Young n VS. Suzi Smith.

There are 7 fights in this tournament altogether. We will only be showing the last 6, but it’s still an awesome series. Make sure you come back every Tuesday and Saturday for the next 3 weeks to catch them all.
Trust me - if you missed this tournament the first time around, you don’t want to miss it this time.

Three “amateur” bouts followed the main card at Bodog Fight Presents Strikeforce at the Dome. Here’s a summary of what happened.
Demico Rogers put on a show worthy of the regular card as he knocked Jim Holloway around the cage like a large, flesh-coloured exercise ball. Demico took it by TKO in round one.
Clint Cezock dropped after receiving a brutal knee to the face from Iro Evansen, resulting in a nice KO victory at 1:25 in the first round.
Steve Hadsell, the apparent fan-favourite, dominated Dustin Blankenship via TKO at 2:11 in the first round.
[edit: I fixed the spellings of these fighters’ names on Feb 26 after I got an email from Demico.]

By the time the feature bout came around, I’d decided to bill Strikeforce for new ears. They don’t fuck around when it comes to music.
Bob Sapp walked out to nothing less that Also Sprach Zarathustra complete with a white feathery robe. The man is a caricature of himself, and the audience was laughing as hard as they were cheering. Hysterical.
This superheavyweight sideshow started with Bob trying the “beast rush”, running in and trying to take charge immediately. Still, Sapp had that hunched-shoulders, running-away strategy that has served him SO WELL in previous matches.
Let me make this short: Jan punched Sapp a couple times and Sapp gave up. Nortje finished the job with Sapp cowering on the ground like… well… an abused teenage girl. I’m left with the impression that Sapp doesn’t like being punched.
At :55, Jan Nortje took the win by technical knockout.
Afterwards, the announcer surprised us by revealing there were three more fights on the card. This is a bit of a surprise as all fights on my list had been fulfilled. As it turns out, these fights were amateur matches.
