Bodog Fight: Eddie Alvarez vs Matt Lee
May 24th, 2007Okay, so that little American fight event I’ve mentioned here and here… well… it’s for real.

The show is in Trenton, New Jersey and runs on Saturday July 14 2007 at 7:30 pm at the Sovereign Bank Arena. Things are still shaping up (in fact, much of the event info I’ve just mentioned will probably change, uh, today) but I can verify that these fights are in the works:
Tara LaRosa VS Laura D’Auguste (our first 5-round women’s title fight! Fuck yeah!)
Trevor Prangley VS Yuki Kondo (5-round middleweight title)
Jorge Masvidal VS Yves Edwards
Fucking Christ, there’s some brawls in there. I’ll be at the show, and can’t wait for LaRosa VS D’Auguste, Sonnen VS Suloev - and Masvidal VS Yves will, of course, be a fucking masterpiece. To boot, I could never pass up a chance to see Buffalohead. The guy kills me.
Don’t get too attached though… things will change. In fact, Eddie was scheduled to fight Nuri Shakir until just yesterday. That said, if you’ve managed to read this post all the way through, then I assume you’re probably interested… SO GO BUY SOME TICKETS

I am confused. Wasn’t this supposed to be the winners from Costa Rica Combat face off against the Red Devils?? Some of these guys lost their last fights, whats up am I thinking of another show in the future?

Err… actually, we *used* to do that sort of thing. We did that with season 1 but now we just run events that don’t necessarily connect up with the previous seasons.
So just enjoy it.

Why are all of the undercard fights listed as “exhibition”?
June 8th, 2007 at 8:56 am
We thought “undercard” didn’t really do some of the fights justice.

Ronnie must have been serious, she wrote it twice. That being said, Eddie has the potential to knock anyone out on a given day. Luckily, it is hard to knock someone out while they are in the fetal position and I have mastered said position.

you sure do talk a lot of shit for someone who backed out of this fight twice due to not making weight and went on to lie about it to mmaweekly saying you had an “injury”. listen you’re a good fighter you gained alot of respect from me by beating a fighter you had no business beating.. You’re also smart for backing down from the rematch.
