Steve Conley VS. Darron Morse
November 25th, 2007The crowd is clearly in favor of Darron Morse for this match, cheering with abandon as he entered the ring. The love seemed strong for Steve Conley as well though, and so I expected some serious noise.
Morse started in with a liver kick that Conley took advantage of to bring the fight to the ground. Somewhere in there, Morse caught Conley’s knee and worked it into a clean lock, forcing a tap.
Morse took it at :39 by submission. The crowd literally exploded from their seats. They were less excited to hear that this was Conley’s last fight since he was getting cancer surgery on Monday. Kinda took the wind out of their sails, you know?

i thank darron is a great guy but he has not fought anybody steve conley is sick and my prayers go out to him i like to see darron fight some one to test him and im sorry butt eric myers is a joke i rolled with him and i thank he needs to watch some more pedro sauer dvds what a punk good luck darron

Darron Morse is THE MAN!!! Mr T needs to go back to 3rd grade and learn to speak properly. In Eastern KY “thank” is a word but for everyone else… Well, Mr. T should come by the gym and see how the dvd’s have paid off

Wow!!! A chance to train with Mr. T himself. We have class across from the middle school in Henderson. Class times are as follows:
Mon and Wed night @ 7:15. I’d love to have you try out a free week. There is also an invite only MMA training class several days a week. I’m there all the time. I guess you’ll be the one with the sweet mohawk?

Eric I told you what I heard that him saying @ the Easter egg hunt. I know he is your family and you didn’t want to believe it but he is a low class piece of trash. I am so glad you are taking the high road. He has finally stuck his foot in his mouth in a very public way. There is no denying it now. I believe he is jealous of the success you are enjoying. I think its absolutely halarious to talk and say such terrible things but not have the decency to show your true identity. Its funny how once upon a time Mr. T’s students were trying to get a few people to come to his “cage fighting” event. But Mr.T himself couldn’t ask in person. I think that is his way of seeing who teaches better. Obviously, although I haven’t trained with Mr. T, my husband did once upon a time, and to be quite frank what I have heard from both your students Mr. T and past students and even now your hiding behind a screen name…. you lack a little something called INTEGRITY!… look that up sometime, study and learn it well. Eric instills that in us always. And its not only a term it is a way to live by. Why don’t you try that sometime.

I regret this wasn’t scheduled a month later or else I could have been out that way to check out the fights in person. While I’m very suspicious concerning internet wars, I’m even more amazed this feud gets perpetuated more with every passing year. Anyone can post a tag with a website name so unless they said it to my face I can only infer it could have been posted by anyone. The fighting got old a month after Eric left Troys 20 years ago when I was there and it’s old now. Troy and Eric have been going to the same tournaments for years now and I have yet to hear a fight break out. They are both civil to one another although they have 2 different opinions on fighting/philosophy. I think the war has been ongoing, but not by the teachers, by the students. The whole “my school/teacher is better than yours” is tired. Madville is small I know but there needs to be something new to talk about. Eric and Troy are both good ppl. Both your schools are going to be there forever just like Troy and Lantrip so your just gonna have to live with each other. =)Just train and don’t worry about what the next guy is doing. Celebrate the wins and learn from the losses. Behave yourselves. I dont wanna have to come down there…….

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that what should have been Eric’s students right to congratulate Darron on another great performance, they now have to defend their Sensei, Eric, to someone who obviously has no Integrity or Character( Mr. T) and on top of that they have to do it on the BODOG web site, a PROFESSIONAL site for all the world to see, which may not be a bad thing as now everyone can see who the TRUE martial artists and fighters are. Everytime I run into a Myers student they are nothing but respectful and humble. Eric himself is always a pleasure to be around and train with. He and his students trained with Royce Gracie last week and it says alot when Mr. Gracie spent just as much time joking and laughing with Eric as he did teaching everyone. Myers Martial Arts is the REAL DEAL. Don’t believe it? Just roll with any of his students. Even the whitebelts are phenomenal. Mr. T took what should have been a Professional blog site and turned it into a circus. Congratulations Mr. T. hope you’re proud of yourself.

I really like that Mr.T has so much respect for Darron as a fighter that he focused his comment to his personal vendetta against Eric. That show’s absolutely no class.
Darron I hope you see continued success in as well as out of the ring, You’re an amazing fighter.
Eric you’re a great instructor and a serious technician on the mat, I will hopefully get to be able to train on a more regular basis with you.

I have just a few more things to say! I did forget to congradulate Darron which was my fault as I was steaming from this silliness. Darron you are an excellent fighter and congrats. Now, granted that anyone can tag a website with their name is true… its still crappy to go about it that way and make someone look bad out of spite. That is if it wasn’t who we believe Mr. T is. I think its sad that someone would go that far to put all this out there for the world to know on a professional organizations website… well they must not think too much about themselves let alone have self-respect. As far as this is concerned… I am through. I will defend my sensei no matter what. Eric is a wonderful sensei, as well as friend outside the dojo. He has integrity, class, and my eternal respect. As far as Mr. T and his school is concerned, it don’t matter what they can do on the mat, in the ring or in a fight, its how they carry themselves as martial artists and as a person … and the ones I do know that attend his school don’t do that very well.
There I have said my peace as nicely as I possibly can for those that know me. Darron again Congrats! I wasn’t there but I have heard from many… you did great! Way to get back into it!!

I am going to stay above any petty comments no matter who the source may be, and just say thank you to all those who support me and help me do what I do. Let’s keep it positive!
Just for the record, Steve told me he had some bacterial problems with his stomach, not cancer. My prayers and I hope your prayers go out to him. He is a tough guy with hard kicks and good takedowns and I hope he makes a full recovery and gets back in the ring if thats his desire. May God bless you Steve.

Thank you Mr. Hayes for stating on your behalf. As you know I have no problem with anyone was hurt by those comments and I was praying for a way to squash it. With all the circumstances pointing at your group I hope you understand the feelings of my team as your would have done the same.
I have never said anything against you or your team and I never will.
I will request if you could find out who you representative is Mr T and give him a lesson in Honor and integrity.

Has anyone noticed that Mr.T and TROY HAYES both spell the same, use virtually no punctuation and type their words and phrases the exact same way. Come on man, it was you and it blew up in your face. You can still make it right, though. If you are the devout Christian you claim to be you WILL make it right. We are all watching you. Your actions will speak louder than your words ever could. Lay down the nonsense and be professional. Mr. Myers has people fighting professionally and you have people fighting professionally. That’s just the way it is. You can’t get mad everytime his guys win. This needs to end NOW. My prayers are with you all.

Congratulations Darron Morse and Sensei Eric on a good positive showing.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Steve Conley and I hope to see him back soon.
Darron is a good fighter… Steve is a good fighter… Sensei Eric brings a lot of knowledge and technique in his training and Jeff Osborne runs a great show.
To question this fighter, coach, and Jeff Osborne’s judgement in pairings is an insult to many.
Looking forward to more Bodog Hook n Shoot Events.

To all those following this crazy situation. I have recieved a call from Mr. Hayes denying any of the statments Mr. T has made. And to clear up any controversy I have requested a IP comparison from Bodog to determine if the Origins are from the same person. If not Mr. Hayes I will be the first to apologize and would like to volunteer to help find out who is trashing both of our respected schools.

Jen, Kate , and I had a great time Sat. watching you fight. I am very proud of you for getting back in there and living out your goals, not everyone has the chance, or the courage to take it.

First of all I would like to say congratulations to Darron on a great win welcome back. I usually dont get caught up in all the bickering, but I received several phone calls on the blog situation. I have no problem with Eric Myers, Darron Morse or the Myers Team. I have friends that I communicate with on a daily basis from Myers gym, Eric and Darron have had nothing but good things to say to me each time we speak. To Eric and all that commented on the blog don’t associate my charater with the comments that have been made, if you know me you know thats not how I represent myself.
