Jan Nortje VS. Bob Sapp

By the time the feature bout came around, I’d decided to bill Strikeforce for new ears. They don’t fuck around when it comes to music.

Bob Sapp walked out to nothing less that Also Sprach Zarathustra complete with a white feathery robe. The man is a caricature of himself, and the audience was laughing as hard as they were cheering. Hysterical.

This superheavyweight sideshow started with Bob trying the “beast rush”, running in and trying to take charge immediately. Still, Sapp had that hunched-shoulders, running-away strategy that has served him SO WELL in previous matches.

Let me make this short: Jan punched Sapp a couple times and Sapp gave up. Nortje finished the job with Sapp cowering on the ground like… well… an abused teenage girl. I’m left with the impression that Sapp doesn’t like being punched.

At :55, Jan Nortje took the win by technical knockout.

Afterwards, the announcer surprised us by revealing there were three more fights on the card. This is a bit of a surprise as all fights on my list had been fulfilled. As it turns out, these fights were amateur matches.
