bodoglife.net/fight Just Got Laid

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

You may have noticed that the home page of Bodog Fight has suddenly acquired that youthful glow. This is only the first in a series of conquests that Bodog Fight has in store. Pretty soon, bodoglife.net/fight will be going out every night sporting impressive biceps and driving a Maserati. In other words, we finally got laid.

Check it out. We got:

Sweet New Header: Click on the cool thumbnails beneath the header to see more content.

Bodog Girl of the Day: A new pic every day of the week.

Blog Feed: Headlines from the blog streaming directly to the homepage.

We’ll be doing a lot more cool stuff in the coming weeks… But the biggest addition is The Vault.

Bodog Fight: The Vault

Starting November 6th we’ll be broadcasting an online-only series called Bodog Fight: The Vault. The episodes will be very short - 5-20 minutes each - and will contain a single previously unaired match. We figure these episodes are perfect videos for your iPod or PSP or what have you. Finally - now you can watch MMA on the bus, train, float plane, or whatever commuter conveyance you currently patronize. Most will also be in HD and the usual standard size options as well.

The fights themselves are largely taken from smaller events that Bodog has sponsored, though some are from the series shoots that just never got used. The first match will be Julie Kedzie versus Kelly Kobold. This fight was shot for season 6, so it’s a great preview of the new season (which will air in 2008).

The episodes will be made available every Tuesday and Saturday. Lord of MMA willing, The Vault will continuously offer 2 new fights every week until the end of time. That means Bodog Fight is now the most prolific MMA broadcaster in the whole fucking world.

Complex Magazine is the Shizzle

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Bodog Fight and Complex Magazine, “the #1 cultural navigator and trendspotter for young men,” recently collaborated on a contest that certainly would be of interest to young men… mainly because it involves hot young women. Meet Irina Kuteyeva…

Irina was recently chosen by Complex Magazine as the hottest entrant to our three-month long Casting Call contest. Nearly 40,000 online votes were received, narrowly helping Irina beat out competitor Jaslene Gonzales of America’s Next Top Model fame.

To celebrate her win, Complex and Bodog threw a massive party. Here’s some pics from the event:

DJs Pump and Kiss were there to control the musical atmosphere:

Lots of celebrities were there, including Consequence, a hip hop artist who recently impressed the Complex editors with his new album. I’m not sure who the girl with him is…

Later this year, Irina will do a full Bodog Fight photo shoot. You can bet we’ll post all the photos.

Here’s the offical press release for all you press release junkies:

Oct. 29, 2007

New York – The three month long Casting Call campaign courtesy of Bodog Fight and trendsetting lifestyle magazine Complex has come to a conclusion as brunette beauty Irina Kuteyeva slightly edged out the Season 8 winner of America’s Next Top Model, Jaslene Gonzales, with a majority of the nearly 40,000 online votes made.

To congratulate Irina on winning the Bodog Fight and Complex Magazine model search, the two companies played host to a packed house at one of NYC’s premier nightlife destinations, Tenjune nightclub. The tastemaker V.I.P. crowd was provided with hard-hitting visuals of Bodog Fight throughout the night along with the seamless mixing of internationally renowned party starters DJ Pump and DJ Kiss.

In addition to the party held in her honor, Casting Call winner Irina’s award will include being featured in a spread for an upcoming issue of Complex Magazine, complete with provocative Bodog Fight attire.

“We work with a number of publications, but Complex Magazine’s content and demographic is definitely one which speaks directly to everything the Bodog brand stands for – style, edge and exclusivity. Beyond that synergy, coming from the highly brand-focused Bodog, I definitely respect the brand development and recognition Mark Ecko has achieved across the many properties of Ecko Enterprises,” said Bodog Founder Calvin Ayre. Bodog, now the largest digital entertainment company in its space, will continue to focus on unique and innovative cross-branding opportunities with international expansion already in progress.

The Score Airtime Change

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

This is just a quick note to inform all you Canadian Bodog Fight fans that there will be a small airtime change for the November 6th and 8th episodes.

Instead of airing at 9:00pm, the episode will air at 6:30pm. The midnight airing will remain unmolested.

Apparently this has something to with basketball or water polo or something.
