More To Come…
Friday, January 19th, 2007We’ve just received word that we’re off to Costa Rica again. Of course, I cannot say why…
Suffice it to say: BodogFight isn’t going away any time soon.
Check back sometime today for some more videos.

There’s been a lot of screaming from the Mancunian crowd to see Rosi Sexton and Matt Thorpe. Well here you go - a double header. Sorry, I know I said this would be up on Friday. It takes forever to go through these pictures (I took about 10,000).
It seems that many of you have already met - or at least know of - Rosie Sexton. Or should I say Doctor Rosi Sexton. She’s likely the only pro mma fighter in the world who has both won a championship belt from Cage Warriors and holds a doctorate in theoretical computer science. Bitchin!

Here she is running up the steps of an art school in St. Petersburg. Also pictured: Hercules.

And here she is moments before the battle with Carina Damm. Troy Waugh, the BodogFight Referee, is on the right side of the shot.

Rosi was attended by her husband, who doubles as her trainer. In this picture, the two work on some ground techniques.

Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe is from a different background. He was inspired by his father – a kick-boxing champion – to enter the mixed martial arts.
Here he is posing for the camera on the dock at the Peter and Paul Fortress. This dock was where the fortress’s prisoners were offloaded from the ships - and likely proceeded to the prison inside, never to emerge again.

Most of the fighters ended up getting a workout even when the cameras were rolling.

And here’s Matt as he steps into the ring against Diego Gonzalez. Note the signature haircut.

And here’s a nice big portrait for all you guys to put in your lockers.

Speaking of which, let’s hear from you guys on this: who’s going to win - Diego or Matt?
We’re getting run off our bag here in preparation for the new bodogfight.com. There’s so much work going on that I couldn’t manage to squeeze out a legit blog entry today.
I can tell you, however, that the new site will include some awesome downloadable wallpapers - including this awesome one featuring Yves Edwards.

Sorry, can’t get you the full res image yet. You’ll have to come back upon site launch to get it.
As for tomorrow, check back for a Mancunian double-header…
BodogFight: St. Petersburg will air on the ION Network on February 6th at 11:00 PM EST and, of course, on www.bodoglife.net/fight shortly thereafter.
Better set your VCRs now.
When I left for St. P, my bosses gave me a video camera. I asked them what I was supposed to shoot and the answer was “the fuck out of everything.” So I burned a lot of tape getting all kinds of oddball stuff (including a few things that will make me very rich someday…).
There’s very little chance I’ll put up any of the really wild stuff (like videos from the wrap party) but I did manage to interview a couple of the fighters. Here’s an interview I did with National Wrestling Champion Jeremiah Constant, one of our heavyweight fighters.
Not blackmail material, but still kinda interesting.
